These mice don't have the plastic eyes that can be harmful to cats if swallowed & is a great bargain!

5My cat's favoriteApr 13, 2007

These are my cat's favorite toys, particularly the white ones for some reason.

Downsides: fishing them out from under the fridge, and waking up next to mice she wants me to throw.

5Great Idea to SAVE THOSE ZANNIES...Jan 14, 2010
By alienlady "alienlady"
Yup, I too love these Mieces to Pieces.

However like most other reviewers, they got lost under the fridge, and God knows where else... but they are gone.

I sat here the other day looking at the last two I found in my under ware drawer. Don't ask.

I thought to myself, now what can I do to prevent them for getting swatted under the fridge or my dressers (they are on 4 inch legs)or just plain getting lost?

Brain Storm. I took about a 14 inch piece of my satin neck cord I use for the necklaces I sell on eBay. I Glued each end underneath each mouse. I used Household GOOP and it will hold for life.

My cat loves it! She can swat one under the dresser, but the other one is out where she can grab it and run. She loves playing fetch with me and they are so easy to throw by the center of the cord. Both mice go flying and she goes crazy.

Also, when she swats one, it makes the other one 14 inches away move and that gets her attention and she'll pounce on that one. That makes the other mouse move and she goes after that one. She plays for hours all by herself now with them attached to each other by the Cord.

You just gotta try it.

3Smaller size is a problemJan 30, 2011
By S. MCELMURRY
We have two young kittens who love to place with fur mice. Previously we would grab one or two mice from the pet store when buying food or litter and let them play with them until they needed to be replaced (after the cats removed their tails and they were too gross, etc.). So we figured why not get a bulk package! Unfortunately, these mice are a little smaller than the typical mice we find at the pet store. This did not appear to be a bad thing, actually it seemed good at first since the kittens could bat them around easier. However,as a result of the smaller size our kittens are able to fit the entire mouse in their mouth and completely tear the mice in two. It appears as though the seam gluing the mice together on the bottom is relatively weak too but I'm not sure I would fault the manufacturer for this. The mice are filled with used cardboard or something (I don't want to think about where the "stuffing" is coming from) and we usually find half of the mouse body with less than the entire amount of stuffing. I'm sure they are eating much of the stuffing. As a result, we have resorted to only allowing the cats to play with the mice while we are home and have been tossing the "used" mice away before the kittens disembowel them. Once these mice are gone, we will not be purchasing this brand.
