I bought two of these, one for myself and one for a friend, but ended up using both of them for myself, so I had to buy a couple more for my friend! The outside is a nice heavy nylon fabric, and the inside is a silver UV protection fabric. With my ex-pen set up 4' x 4', I used one for a bottom floor and the other as a top to contain my dogs in a dirt arena. The 2" sides of the covers kept the dirt out on the bottom and made it easy to fit the top to my pen. The covers hosed off easily and dried quickly once I was home. I think they would even work if your ex-pen doesn't have a door, as long as you open your pen to the inside instead of trying to pull it out past the cover. I just wish they had used velcro or snaps on the straps to attach the cover to the pen, instead of buckles, which are slower and more work. But overall this seems like a good product which will hopefully last many summers!

Nice cover but on the pen with the walk thru door its in the way of the door opening. This should be described better in the posting and be paired for the pen with the smaller door that opens in the middle of the section which allows for the door to open cleanly.

The tabs that are used to secure the cover to the top of the pen do not work that well. They have to be threaded through & then pulled. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. It would have been better if they used velcro straps instead. I do not recommend this and I will not be purchasing any more from this company!!

I needed an exercise pen for my two 10 pound dogs for camping. One of the dogs is sneaky and can get out of the pen. I saw these and read a review from a person that bought two and used one for a top, one for the bottom. Brillant idea! We are doing the same. The covers are very nice, heavy weight canvas, but still lighter than hauling a metal cover or crate. They keep the dog in, provide nice shade from the sun, and the pen with the covers is very managable for us. A crate is less space for the dog and heavier to transport. With the pen and these awesome covers the dogs get more space (4x4) and we have less pounds of metal to haul around. When camping, space and the weight of things is always an issue so this is great.

I love this cover. It fit's perfectly with the Pet Gear Home 'N Go Pet Pen, X-Large, Moss Green item. I know it also works with an x-pen if it's configured in a 48x48 size, but I use it with the X-large Pet Gear Pen.
