Caution If Swallowed...Oct 03, 2008
By M. Wise Our dog loves the flavor so much she swallowed a dental wipe whole. Within the hour, the emergency room vet induced vomiting and the wipe was regurgitated intact. Vet indicated the wipe might have caused blockage in a small dog had we waited longer than 1-1/2 to 2 hours to bring her in.

My Maltese hates to let you look at his teeth but he loves to let you clean his teeth with these dental wipes. He loves the flavor and licks them constantly as you are cleaning his teeth and lets you do it as long as you let him lick the pad. I bought him the tin of mints but couldn't get him to eat them so I am sticking to the pads. They are a good price as they are hard to find as not all places carry them.

dental padsDec 03, 2007
By Joanne L. Frazier The pads are sort of small, it makes it had to wrap around a finger. Once in contact w/ dog saliva they get very slippery & hard to hang onto. But the dogs don't seem to mind the taste at all.

The dogs seem to like themSep 18, 2008
By Scarlett Brontë My dogs hate having their teeth brushed, and these make it so much easier to keep their teeth clean.
You just clean the surface of their teeth and gums with one of the wipes. The main ingredient is Chlorhexidine Gluconate, which is a germicidal mouthwash used in humans as well, to treat things like Gingivitis.
The solution on the pads smells minty. The dogs don't appear to mind the taste. My Boston Terrier tries to eat them.
I was using a more expensive brand of dental wipes that I was ordering out of a catalog, so when I saw this brand here at Amazon, I was very happy. They are identical to the more expensive brand.
I just noticed that the ingredients contain Carmine (Carmine is not a vegan ingredient).

All 3 of my dogs hate this product.Nov 22, 2010
By J Smith These are exactly like Stridex zit pads, if you've ever used those. The only difference is, these have peppermint chemical scented teeth-cleaning juice on them instead of zit solution. All three of my dogs shy away from the smell when I open the container, and they don't like it when I try and use these on their teeth. They don't like the taste or the smell. All 3 dogs are OK (and sometimes eager) with manual brushing with a CET meat flavored toothpaste, and I thought these would be a time saving alternative to that. It doesn't seem to make much difference on their teeth and it definitely doesn't do anything for canine halitosis. Waste of my ten bucks.
