Unlike drying shampoos, e.g. sulfur, coal tar, selenium, etc., Allergroom cleanses without stripping and adds needed moisture to your pet's skin. Allergroom contains no fragrances, soaps or detergents and is pH balanced. Formulated to be used on dogs and cats intolerant to soap. Restores natural luster. For maximum effectiveness use the companion product Humilac Spray.
Directions for Use: Shake well before use. Wet the coat with warm water and apply sufficient shampoo to create a rich lather. Massage Allergroom into wet coat, lather freely. Rinse and repeat. Allow to remain on hair for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.

My vet recommended this shampoo for my 5-month-old kitten, who is entranced by the bathtub and kitchen sink. However, I quickly learned that he did NOT want to sit in a bathtub of water! This shampoo, when added after several water splashes on him beside the kitchen sink, made his coat softer.

Good Shampoo but Seems a little dilutedMay 14, 2009

I use this shampoo on my mini-schnauzer and yorkie. I bathe them once a week and it does not dry out their skin or cause them to itch. It seems to be a good product. My only complaint is that it seems diluted so it takes a lot more of this shampoo to get a lather.
