Very basic book on keeping pigeons, I would pretty much label it a kids book. It has some useful information but not a lot.

4Best Beginner Book I've Found So Far.Apr 19, 2010

I ordered this book, along with many others to get me started with raising pigeons. A big difference with this book, compared to others, is that it's not outdated. The other books were at the earliest from the 1970s...Each chapter is laid out to keep you interested and actually help you in learning different facts and options in raising your pigeons. Highlighting portions of this book goes a long way, especially in referencing later on. It's not one sided, considering there's plenty of different ways and opinions in keeping pigeons, which although the options can be confusing, this book helps you choose the best options for you. The only thing I would change about Pigeons is some of the imagery. Being new to this hobby you mostly want to see actual photographs of different breeds of pigeons, but this book contains a majority of poor paintings that look like maybe a ten year old painted them...But the diagrams of the pigeon anatomy are fantastic and helpful. All in all I highly suggest this book to anyone new to the hobby (or sport) of keeping pigeons.
