There were no directions included with the cage, but if you look at all the peices and open them up, its pretty easy.
Our kids (4 and 7yrs) are quite happy with the new cage, and so are the rats. The bar spacing is to far apart for mice or dwarf hamsters, but anything bigger should do quite well.
The bottom tray snaps out for easy cleaning, which is a big plus over the other cage design we have that requires the whole cage be torn apart each time you want to change the bedding.
Check all plastic for chew damage. Some hamsters, mice, rats will chew on plastic and find a way out.

We bought this to house our 5 male degus and I must say that they LOVE this little home! I must add that the little house, wheel, and plastic ladder are NOT to be left in the cage with degus. Degus chew like any other rodent, to wear down their continually growing teeth, but degus are VERY chewy, heh. The cage is easy to assemble and very easy to clean and aside from the degus chewing up everything, has held up very well. I'd recommend this product to a friend.

I ordered this cage because it said rat cage, I even looked at the dementions to see that it would be big enough for one rat. I got the cage in the mail and it was cracked and a third of the size of its advertisement, not evenclose enough for the size of a rat. I have sence sent them two emails because the return policy said that I needed to do so to get some routing number for the returned package. Both e-maild were sent back with the explanation that the e-mail they gave me no longer existed. DO NOT GET THIS CAGE

Overall the cage is a good one. Easy to clean and a nice size. The extra levels gives my hamster more room to roam. They can be placed at any level one chooses.
My only "complaint" is that the wire on the upper levels were too wide and made it difficult for "Rex" to walk on. I had to improvise and attach flooring on top of the wire so he could walk with ease.

Very low maintenance clean up. Adaptable for other accessories made by other manufacturers. My hamster is big so there is not a lot of space for him so looking to upgrade. Nice cage for an average size hamster, not a big teddy bear one like mine. House is a little small and roof attachment comes off easily.
