What's To Gripe About?Dec 21, 2009
By Service Dog Training Describing this product as cheaply made and unendurable, as one reviewer has, is misleading and doesn't represent the norm for this product. I've been using the same two (2) Hydro Bowls for over six (6) years for two separate Search dogs and two other deployed Service Dogs, and have yet to wear them out!
If you're looking for the best packable dog bowl, look no further!
The Hydro Bowls I use have been folded and unfolded -- snapped and unsnapped -- hundreds of times, and have yet to fail their functions. They hold food and water without losing a drop as a result of poor craftsmanship. Thus based on my experience with Hydro Bowls, which is quite extensive given what we train dogs for and the abuse these bowls have taken, I find it hard to believe the single negative review.

Great Bowl Dad! (quote from the mutt)Mar 29, 2007
By Jeff Kali, the mutt, loves this bowl. She's kind of picky about drinking vessels. But she loves this one.
We take it to the beach with a 1/2 gallon sport bottle thing. The bowl fits in the side pouch like it was made for it.
Easy to clean.

Great Concept but Cheaply Made. Lasted Less Than a Month.May 06, 2009
By Jennifer MacNeill I researched several collapsible water bowls before deciding on this one. I chose it because it appeared durable and I loved the fact that I could snap it together, attaching it to a leash or a pack when hiking with my dog. After only a week or two of use the vinyl started to get white lines where the bowl folds, as though it were going to crack in places. Then today, the snap fell off, making the bowl basically useless, as the snap was the primary reason I purchased the bowl. I wouldn't recommend this product, there are less expensive models out there that are far more durable.

Great bowl, durable, easy to cleanJul 17, 2009
By Bruce Crawford I have owned 4 of these bowls over the years. I have lost a couple due to forgetfulness, but the other two, which are likely around 8 or 9 years old, I still use a couple of times a week. I take the bowls to the dog park, dog classes, therapy dog visits, on hikes and out mushing with my team. My dogs get their food and water in these bowls whenever we are away from home. Hydrobowls are on my list of essential dog gear.
Unlike multilayer fabric bowls, these bowls are easy to clean and they dry quickly. If I get my Hydrobowls really dirty, I can scrub them, use bleach water on them, and put them in the sun to dry to kill any germs. These are the only dog gear I've had that has lasted this long.

Doggie travel bowlJan 09, 2010

This is a must have for the dog owner on the go. In our local doggie run, there are bowls located throughout the run, filled with water. I've often wondered how clean those bowls are, not to mention the water. I always take our own bowl and water, but I still want my hands free to control my dog. This travel bowl is a great idea. It's light weight and easily folds to a convenient size. It has a snap closure, so you can attach it directly to a belt, or the dog's leash. It can easily be folded and put in a pocket ... preferably prior to being used!
Once home you can easily wash it, or wipe it clean. I would recommend that you let it air dry before you close it up for your next trip. I keep my doggie travel bowl in the car, so I don't forget to take it!
