Description:

Fleabusters Rx for Fleas Plus Borate Powder has many important 'flea-killing' features. The powder is milled to be extremely fine and is also statically charged. The 'fine' powder allows for easy installation while brushing into the carpet and for light application (very small amounts need to be applied for effectiveness). The 'statically charged' powder provides a clinging effect to carpet fibers. This allows very little to be removed by vacuuming, thereby providing long-lasting protection. The powder attaches to the flea larvae as they wiggle by and the effectiveness of killing (dehydrating) flea larvae is greatly increased. The Rx for Fleas Plus also has a neutral pH of 7.0. While very safe for carpets, the neutral pH is actually more important in a pest control sense by not causing the targeted pest (flea) to be repelled from the powder. Roaches, ants, fleas, etc., can sense and avoid alkaline or acidic substance, but crawl right through the neutral pH material.

3Ok productAug 30, 2010
I have used this product before and had good results but it did not help my flea problem this time. I used it all over a couple of applications but still have fleas in my house. It's also a little messy as there is a little bit of white powder on things after it all settles afterwards. I ended up having the floors sprayed by a pest control company which worked better for me.

5An Ounce of Prevention Is Worth a Pound of CureAug 27, 2010
I used to be a professional groomer and at my shop we always suggested to our customers that they use Fleabuster's powder in their homes. As a previous reviewer wrote, if you do it annually you'll never have a flea problem. Do it in the spring to prepare for summer. Fleas live in your home, they only jump onto pets and humans to feed, so if you can actually see fleas on your pet you can bet your behind there are many, many more living in your home. Even if you don't have bites, this means nothing. Fleas rarely bite me but love my husband and 2 yr. old son.

When applying this powder use a respirator and goggles and wear pants and shoes, after the dust has settled it's ok to walk on it, but get as much as possible in the carpet.

If fleas have already infested your home use Hartz Ultraguard spray on carpets and furniture first; this doesn't kill adult fleas but does stop eggs, larvae, and pupae from reaching the adult stage. Fleabuster's powder does take about 2 weeks to take full effect, but is indeed worth the wait and really does last for a year or more. Also wash all pet bedding frequently and vacuum vacuum vacuum every single day after the powder has settled in until it takes effect. Put a flea collar in your vacuum bag/canister to kill live adults that have been sucked up.

If you make the environment where fleas actually live (yard and carpet) inhospitable you'll never have a real flea problem. I do not recommend using the very expensive and highly toxic Advantage drops at all.

5Works like a charmAug 18, 2010
I have used Fleabusters Rx a couple of different times. Each time I have been perfectly pleased. Although it's supposed to take up to a week or two to get rid of all of the "visitors", it has never taken that long for me. Maybe two or three days at max. I like the product because it is non-toxic and it's easy to use. It does take a little time to work it into the carpet, but with a good stiff broom, no problem. I have lots of hardwood floors also, and so I just spread the powder over the floors and swept it over the entire area. I left it down for several hours before vacuuming. So final review is 5 stars - it's a great product and works like a charm.

4It does work...eventuallyAug 16, 2010
We had a very bad flea infestation but I wanted to go as non-poison as possible. We used fleabusters indoors and Nylar spray outdoors. After two weeks I was about to give up, and bought flea bombs that included a growth inhibitor as well, but I didn't have time to use them right away. At three weeks after using Fleabusters, we finally noticed a marked decrease in fleas and by four weeks after, they were pretty much gone. Wonder if I can return the flea bombs.

So it does work....but might take longer than even the warnings say (the reason why I gave it four stars instead of 5).
