Tetras, corys, and bettas love these plants.Feb 16, 2008

I put these plants into two separate 46 gallon bow front tanks, a plant on either side of the aquarium and the tetras all come out more, they love to play in the leaves, the snails use it to get to the top of the tank a different way, the female bettas like to hide in the leaves and chase each other through them. They seem to provide a lot of security, they can minimize water torrents from powerful filters (essential for bettas), and they look great. They are also worth ordering online since you'll pay 1/2 what you would pay in a store.
Not the realistic "flow" I was looking for.Jan 19, 2011
By Dempsey3 I bought this plant with two other 36 in. varieties, the asparagus fern and the bamboo plant, and this is my, as well as the fishes, least favorite of the three. It's easy to tell it is fake, you can see all the connections, and it just doesn't seem to "flow" very well. On the other hand, it does a good job of blocking fast flowing water from a filter, power head or such. It floats well, as well as any other plastic plant will. It does provide good shade from the overhead light, and decent protection for small fish. My Jack Dempsey fry still prefer the asparagus fern the most for cover.

By Urban, C. It is only floating if you detach the base. And the original image was not a good representation. The pic I see now is fairly accurate. No more convincing than any typical plastic plant.
Looks great and my fish love to play in it!Mar 18, 2010
By Samantha Jo I'm a newbie with fish. I just set up a 55 gallon aquarium and have a few fish (fancy goldfish, parrot cichlids, dragonfish and a betta at the moment). The plants look great in my tank! They are artifical, but I've been asked if they were real and how I got them to grow so fast, lol. The plants are really long and thick, which definitely had advantages and disadvantages. The fish love to play what looks like "hide and seek" in the plants. They also help hide some of my bubble tubes and filters. The only disadvantage I've had with them is that if you don't kinda of tuck them behind something, they can be a bit too much. Anyway, I'm very glad I got them, I would attach a picture if the review had a spot for it.
