great for honda crvsApr 10, 2010
By B. Russell This works great. It was easy to install. It fits my CRV securely. You still get a good view from your rearview mirror. If you somehow lock yourself in the back of you car installing it, it allows you to lower the seat and crawl out without having to uninstall the shield (yes i did this)

Easy to install, sturdyJun 16, 2011
By Wookie We installed this barrier in a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Our goal was to keep the dog from accidentally jumping on the baby :) The barrier was easy to assemble, came with good instructions and seems to be very sturdy as well as highly adjustable. The dog jumped right up and seemed to like 'his space'... give us a month and we'll let you know how the baby likes it. After a lot of researching/looking around, it seems that this barrier is the best you may find for the money!

Fit the billOct 17, 2010
By small dog owner Having a small dog, the PetShield Standard worked just fine in my Subaru Forester. It certainly justified the comparatively lower price for metal shields. Perhaps for larger dogs one would prefer a larger heavy-duty barrier. Wasn't that difficult to assemble, tho it would have been more helpful if the directions gave more close-up pictures of the parts - not just a list.

My husband had a little trouble installing this at first, but he didn't read the instructions all the way through. Still though, maybe took him 30 minutes to complete. We have taken this in and out of the car and it takes less than 5 minutes now that we know what we're doing.
I have an Acura MDX and was worried about the fit after reading other reviews, but it is a perfect fit.
I'd recommend this as a great alternative to the car manufacturer's overpriced option.

Works like it should.Dec 21, 2011
By donna perkins Perfect for my medium sized, very strong, wild-child dog in my CRV. Don't tighten too much or it will damage the ceiling.
