 Doesn't lather and leaves a residueDec 27, 2009

Sorry, but I'll have to disagree with the other reviewers. Maybe they were talking about other Hartz dog shampoos, but their Groomer's Best Puppy shampoo is horrible.
It produces little to no lather no matter how much you use. Then even after rinsing more than 10 minutes, my silkly terriers hair was far from silky and had a dirty feeling.
I'm guessing that to make it gentle they left out the cleaning agents needed for the squeaky clean I look for when bathing my doggy.

I have 4 doggies, so it can get expensive to maintain their hair shiny, clean, and smelling great.
However this does it all and at a great price!
I like that it is easy to rinse out, and my dogs don't get itchy.
Some more "expensive-brands" don't rinse good, and that is scary.
Imagine leaving residue on your doggy, it can be very uncomfortable for your pet, and they have no way of telling you :(
I highly recommend to those who are into spoiling their "babies".

My LabRott puppy used to smell like burnt coffee, now he smells like freshly brewed coffee with a hint of lavender. It's lasted about 3 days now without him going back to that awful burnt coffee smell.

Hartz offers great products for the priceJun 21, 2009

This was the first product I bought from Hartz. It cleaned my adult dog as good as other dog shampoos. I like this product because it is lightly scented, mild and very inexpensive. My hands usually get itchy after using dog shampoos, but with this product my hands were OK.
Incidentally, I bought a squeaky dog toy from Hartz the other day just because it was on sale at a local drug store. Surprisingly it is lasting even longer than the squeaky toys from Kong.
I will continue to buy Hartz's products in the future for their great value.
