Pro: Ferrets have a very hard time switching foods, and that is the main thing Marshall Ferret Food has going for it: Every bag of it I have ordered(4 so far) has been exactly the same color and smell, and my ferrets have eaten it without any issue. I have ordered 3 bags of Zupreem and 2 bags of Young Again, and I have gotten noticeably different foods in every bag. My ferrets refuse to eat it at first(as they do when introduced to a 'new' food) even when they were already eating the previous bag from that brand. Since Marshall is so consistent I have been able to mix it with the other foods and keep them eating.
Con: Most of the protein in Marshall ferret food comes from fish, which can make ferrets smell bad, and it uses rice for filler, which some ferrets have trouble with. I had great success mixing in one(or more) of the chicken-based foods. My ferrets were suddenly acting a lot more energetic, and they smell a lot better.
An aside: If you are wondering what you should get, odds are good your ferret came 'from the factory' eating Marshall, because most ferrets in the US come from Marshall.

this food is great for the little fuzz butts, the amount and quality is well worth the price.our little fuzzbutts enjoy the food by eating it either dry like it is or sometimes to change it up, i crush it up and add warm water to it to make a soup..but i give this product my best of words...thank you

I thought this was a good deal for my ferret,, you cant find this bulk at stores so i bought online and it will last him a long time and its premium so its better for him too.
