Great clippersSep 05, 2008

These are great clippers for the finishing work on our little dog. They are not too loud and cut smoothly.

Cannot replace the batteryNov 22, 2007

I haven't used this product as extensively as a professional groomer, but the battery would not recharge. I tried to replace the battery, but it's not replaceable. There a small screw that I removed, but I couldn't take the product a part. I finally just pulled it apart and I think I broke the plastic. Then I say that there was a 5D battery and it was attached to the chassis. I took the clipper and dumped it in the garbage. I agree with the previous reviewer that Oster should reimburse anyone who has bought this product. It wasn't cheap.

good trimmerFeb 26, 2009
By W. Killeavy got this trimmer primarily to take care of trimming my 2 labradodles butts when they haven't been to the groomers for a while -- so that they don't bring cr.p attached to them when they go out -- works pretty well -- definitely good for small areas -- you'd be hard pressed to groom a big dog with this trimmmer though

Very disappointingFeb 22, 2010
By R. Smith I bought this trimmer and used it literally once per month on two dogs for small areas and touch-ups. After six months the battery would simply not recharge enough to allow me to use it for more than 8-10 minutes at a time. In other words after a dozen short periods (15-20 minutes each) of usage the battery will not recharge properly. That is appalling. It is a nice trimmer and would be quite useful if it worked properly. I have tried to get some joy out of Oster but they keep telling me that nothing can be wrong or send it - at my cost - into a service center for a month or two. What good is that? Use a trimmer for 6 months - service it for two?
