Great Pet CarrierMar 26, 2010

"Loving the Water"
This pet carrier works great for our Terrier. We took a 2500 mile road trip and I was so glad I had this carrier. Ours is placed in a crew cab Ford truck on the floor behind the center console in rear seating area. The carrier is sturdy but I would not take it through an airport however because if it gets squeezed enough the door latch could pop open. General use in a car or truck is what it is made for and does this well. When it arrives there is some assembly required but it is not difficult. The small snack and water tray attached to the door is an added bonus. It also has an access hatch on top, we do not use it much because the latch is plastic. I would highly recomend this carrier for everday use.

Innovative design, a few issues - watch out for drainage holes!Jul 31, 2011

The concept of this carrier is fantastic - it has a base, like a child's car seat, that you strap into the car and then put the carrier into. I really like how stable this makes the carrier in the car, much better than sitting it on the seat or trying to buckle it in with the seatbelt directly. We've enjoyed snapping the carrier in and out of the car so easily, and sometimes just leave the base in for days or weeks when we will be moving our cats around a lot.
But as with any innovative product, it takes a few iterations to get it all worked out. We've found three significant issues with the carrier: the door doesn't always stay latched, the round porthole up top is just inviting a cat to pop out, and the bottom of the carrier has several holes hidden under the included pad. The first two are manageable - check the door twice before taking the carrier outside (we've had a couple of surprises), and I saw at least one other person has duct-taped the porthole. I don't really think the carrier needs that porthole. The holes in the bottom were a much more horrible surprise. One of our cats relieved herself on the way back from the vet, and it went straight out of the carrier, though the base, and all over our upholstery. The carrier was nearly dry, while we had to pull out the car's back seat entirely and sop up urine underneath it. Disgusting, it took a while to get the smell of urine out of the seat and the car itself. I wouldn't expect any carrier to fully contain a big accident, but I also didn't expect the carrier to have several holes in the bottom to let it drain out! Pets have accidents, especially in stressful situation. We're looking into ways to plug up those holes to prevent any future issues.

best pet carrier so farSep 18, 2008

"always on the go"
This is a clever & easy way to get pooch to-and-fro! For those dogs (& cats too) that take frequent trips in the car it makes the transfer so much easier. I like having the choice of either leaving the "cradel" in the car attached to the seat and just detaching the "pod" to take pup out of car or leaving everything attached to the seat and just opening the door for my dog to walk out of carrier. A secure way to travel with a pet. Easy to put together. Really cute design. Easy to carry and can be used as a cozy place for rest when its not in the car. Great product!!
Cat Escaped from this Carrier!Jan 10, 2012
By Tracy If you have a very calm, unadventurous cat this may be the perfect carrier for you. The lock-in seat feature does a fantastic job of stabilizing the carrier while traveling with your pet. That being said, if you have a cat that tries to escape from confined spaces, this is not the carrier for you. My 9 year old cat managed to unlock the window at the top by head-butting it and after that we were unable to successfully keep her locked in.
Needs ImprovementOct 28, 2011
By StefG This could officially become the best pet carrier out there with a few more very needed improvements.
First, I love how easily it attaches to the car seat, and how securely the car seat attaches to the car's seat. I've had to stop unexpectedly a few times and my cat remained perfectly secure thanks to this great design. (It's just like a child's seat).
It's also tall, so instead of being crammed into a small, uncomfortable carrier, my cat can sit up or turn around without any stress. So this is the great part.
What needs improvement is that once the carrier is on the ground, it tips over WAY too easily. All the cat has to do is breath and the entire carrier tips over, which isn't good. So I have to literally hold the carrier the entire time anywhere I go unless the carrier is clipped into the car.
The holes at the bottom of the carrier are slightly annoying as well. On one hand, they securely hold the comfort cushion in place, but on the other hand, if the cat has an accident, then urine drips right through --> not fun. But now I just use training pads whenever I travel so should it happen again, they will absorb it all up.
However, the tipping over thing really really needs to be fixed!
