Measurements are wrong from manufacturerNov 11, 2008

"LeaH"
I bought this item in size Large. It is listed on the manufacturer's website as being 31" high. It is NOT. Upon contacting them, they say it is a typo and it is indeed only 27" high. Which was too short for our dog. He could not stand up in it. That is the same height as a medium crate! The breeds listed on the box that it is recommended for could not stand up in it either. Customer service at PetGear was lacking also. No apology for their typo nor compensation for a crate that is going to cost a fortune to return to the online retailer where purchased. Eventually they will correct the typo---but if you have a tall dog or a dog that likes to stand up in his crate, keep in mind that this one is very very short for a large dog.

Awsome Doggie DenJun 27, 2011
By Cabella I wanted a Doggie Den ( i actually have two of these - two lab puppies) that opened on the long side so it was more welcoming to the dogs - as well as easier to straighten blankets and retrieve toys etc. We LOVE these easy to set up and break down - although a second set of hands makes it way easier - especially when you have a set (or two) of paws helping move their 'home'. Once folded up and in the carry case they are fairly easy to load and move around- I have the Biggest size so they are a little awkaward just beacuse of the size they are. I like the options with still having the end doors and the top door - and i like that its actually a square - not sloped or curved - giving the dogs the full use of the space - and this also make a nice solid top surface which we often use for doggie toy storage and such. ***I shopped around and AMAZON is by far the cheapest place to get these- especially this color for some reason - with shipping i paid 188 and change for each of mine- this is a steal for these. *** Melanie Upsate New York

Wonderful Product!!!May 02, 2011
By Brian We have a one year old French Bulldog and originally bought her a Pet Gear nylon pet playpen for her home while we are at work. After one year she managed to tear holes all through it and the stains no longer washed out. So, looking at many options and not wanting a plain kennel to keep her in during the day, we found this product. I ordered it through Amazon because it was over $100 cheaper than local retail stores and had free shipping & no tax. So far, so good. The garage style door is perfect to let her in and out of her pen. This is the toughest, most durable pet pen I have ever bought and would definitely recommend it to anyone; especially spoiled rotten, mischievous Frenchies...

Crate can't be clawed through & it's collapsible for travel.Jan 18, 2012
By CCB We need to crate our dogs when "new" people are in the house (our Cairn likes to nip at people he doesn't know), so we thought a soft-sided kennel would fit the bill. It worked well at home and when traveling, but ultimately our Westie dug/clawed through one of the nylon doors. So, we purchased this kennel because it had steel doors and windows that cannot be clawed or chewed through. Also, it's collapsible for travel. It is, however, heavier than the soft-sided one, but my husband has no trouble carrying it.

Step away from this product!!!Jul 13, 2010

First of all, I have the Pet Gear soft sided zippable kennel which works great. It's lightweight, folds easily, and is quiet in the car. The zippers will wear out after a year or two which seems reasonable to me.
This product is like the above review on opposite day!
Its so loud in the car that your ears will be begging to hear the whomp whomp sound that an open sunroof makes on the highway at high speeds.
The construction is so cheap that you can bet your life that it was designed by booby trap experts attempting to kill your precious cargo.
Oh, and the fold flat convenient travel size. This thing is designed to be a cruise ship anchor.
MOVE away from a product that promises misery from the moment you unwrap it and throw the box away assuring no returns from Amazon.
