I like everything about the product. It matches my kitchen furniture. It's elegantly designed. Easy to use. My boyfriend hadn't had much trouble assembling it. My pup has no issues with it whatsoever. We hadn't tripped over it (knock on wood), thanks to all the warnings! It does the job.
Sturdy and Easy to Operate with One HandJul 26, 2010
My pet gate arrived quickly and in good condition. It is a bit of a challenge to install, but once you figure it out, it is easy to move from one door way to another. Also, it is very sturdy and easy to operate with one hand while you are trying to corral an active puppy. Tall enough to use for an adult-size large breed dog.
When it first arrived, I thought something was wrong with it because the frame was not square, but this is the way it is supposed to be. The frame squares up when it is installed and this allows it to have a secure fit.
Lastly, it actually looks like a piece of furniture!

Purchased this for a semi-permanent barrier for the kitchen since I have a new puppy. It installed pretty easily once you figure out the system and it looks great. The lock and walk thru mechanism works easily. The gate is sturdy and well constructed. My puppy has no interest in chewing on it so can't speak to that end.

As longtime pet owners who want to confine our dogs to a particular portion of the house, my family has used many different types of gates. These are by far the best. They hold securely, are easy to get through (even for our 4-year-old), and tall enough that retrievers at least don't try to jump over. They're also nice looking and don't look cheesy. Immediately after we purchased and installed ours, one of our neighbors who had just gotten puppies asked where we found these gates, and ordered them for herself.
