this stuff is miraculous! my poor little kit was recently sick, which made him unable to control where he went to the bathroom. my apartment was a disaster with sick kitty urine stains and stenches. the clean up effort was for naught because every commercial product i used was ineffective at killing the odor. (i had ONLY tried other all natural products, incidentally. so i don't know how well the chemically toxic ones work.)
i bought this product at the local pet shop as kinda my last hope. it not only works very well at odor elimination, it leaves a fresh scent. and of course, eliminates the stain.
saturate the stain on the carpet (or wherever). wait a minute or two. give it a good rub with a cloth (or paper towel, if you're into throwing away trees unnecessarily), and then just let it dry.
(oh yeah. check first on a hidden spot of the surface you're cleaning to make sure it's not color fast.)
the product has natural cultures in it that consume the bio-matter you're cleaning (e.g., urine, poo, hurl, etc.). once the bio-matter is gone, the stain & odor are gone. it's wonderful!
it's similar to what yogurt does in your digestive system. gets rid of the nasties.
so yeah. i totally recommend this.

I bought this product to clean stains off carpet and to be pet friendly--
so my cats could walk on it soon after and not be harmed.
I was so amazed how well this product worked!!!
Now I won't have to try anything else--I am sold.
It took out fresh dark stains and old ones too.
I am so happy and pleased with this product---I can't say enough
positive things about it!

We recently rescued a 15 month old Great Dane. He was having some troubles adjusting to his new home. We woke up on Sunday morning to three huge soft serve piles of "trouble adjusting" on the carpet. By the end of the day, we had used every cleaner and machine we had - the bissel spot cleaner, the bissel ultra carpet steamer, oxy clean, spot shot and the bissel pet cleaning solution. NOTHING removed the spot or the SMELL. The stains were mild, after a few days you barely noticed. I retreated the three areas a couple of days later - but the smell remained. Terrible sick poo smell - plus the delightful chemical cleaner smell. The house smelled like a kennel.
So I bought Simple Solutions Natural. I thought - at this point what could go wrong. This stuff rocks!!!! The scent is heavenly!!! I applied as directed to the affected area. Sopped it up 15 minutes later with a towel. The stain was gone and the smell completely disappeared. The scent left behind is refreshing and clean. No chemical odors - no stain. The product worked so well - I could tell where I ran out. One section was clean the other still slightly stained and stinky!! Only drawback - you use a lot of it, at least I do for giant breeds. I used the entire bottle and will use one more to finish the job. Per the instructions, you can also use this in cleaning machines. I'm buying extra to keep on-hand.

This does exactly what it should. It cleans up stains, smells, etc. We use it to clean up our dogs urine accidents. The result is a clean, nice smelling area in the carpet, chair, mattress - he's still in training :) The best part is no chemicals. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it should really come in s spritzer spray bottle to cover more area.

Completely eliminated the moldy smell from my washer!Jun 28, 2009

I realize washer cleaning is not the primary intended use for this product but I couldn't be happier with the results. I read on the bottle label that it can be used as a laundry pre-wash treatment. Figured I'd give it a whirl to see if it would help get rid of the moldy smell in my washer that I've been battling for months with a variety of products.
I filled the liquid soap compartment about half full with this product, set the empty washer for a load of 'whites' on a temp of 'sanitize', and could hardly believe my nose when the cycle finished and I opened the door. WONDERFUL. First I tried Anti Icky Poo (after two different traditional washer cleaners failed), and I have to admit, it got rid of quite it bit. But this was the finishing touch the washer needed. It took two cycles with this Simple Solutions product and the washer was like-new again, smelling fresh and looking sparking clean.
From now on, running an occasional empty cycle with this will be part of my washer maintenance routine.
Update three months later: I noticed a slight moldy odor kept creeping up, even though I was leaving the washer door open after using it to let it air dry. At the time I wrote this review, the moldy odor had been so overwhelming, I didn't realize there was still mold inside. There was such a drastic improvement after using this product it took a while for my nose to realize there was still a hint of mold present. The final trick to completely rid the machine of moldy odor ended up being Clorox Green Works toilet cleaner. It took several loads but now it is truly gone (it's been over a month now) so I'll go back to using the Natural solution once in a while to keep it fresh.
One more great use for this product ... cleaning the cats' litter boxes. After I dump the litter, I squirt a little of this solution into the boxes, add water, then scrub them clean. Makes the boxes good as new while keeping my cats safe from toxic cleaners.
