4Great for keeping plants and terrariums mistedJun 10, 2011
By J. S. Whitney "Stained Glass Artist"
I love this mister! Simply hold the trigger down, and it sprays continuously in one of three modes: 1) Stream, 2) medium mist, 3) Fine mist. I have a lot of house- and terrarium-plants that require daily (or more often) misting, and this tool has made that process a breeze.

My only complaint is that the original batteries arrived installed and half-dead. With new replacement batteries this mister really shines.

4This should be called a "sprayer", not a "mister"Jan 17, 2011

This is a fun item to use and sure does help prevent trigger finger if you've got lots of spraying to do. As you'll see from other reviewers, this is being used for a variety of uses other than as a terrarium mister. I like it very much, and bought it to mist my indoor plants, but it doesn't really mist. It sprays. The spray is much heavier and the water droplets bigger than what I would consider a mist, so it's not really suitable for misting plants as it will get your floors all wet. I'm also familiar with terrarium misters and think they also produce a finer mist than this. Well, never mind...I'm now using it to spray my plants with insecticidal soap when needed and it does a really fine job at it. So I'm very pleased with the product because I've found a good use for it and not having to keep pumping a handle or pulling a trigger on a spray bottle is really nice. But if you need something that makes a true mist, then this is not the product for you. I think they should change the name to "sprayer" and not "mister".

1not what I'd hoped forMar 31, 2011

While the Zoo Med MotoMister does mist with two AA batteries, it is lacking in a couple of things I would have expected for the price. 1. It does not have a fixed "on" button. While you don't have to pump it, you do have to keep your finger on the trigger to keep it misting. In my opinion, that defeats part of the "automatic" purpose of the mister. 2. The batteries do not last long......maybe for 2 refills. That being said, you have to get a tiny screw-driver to remove the battery door. There should be an easy release for batteries that need changing frequently. Oh, and 3. I found that my rechargeable batteries do not fit well in the mister.....they are slightly too large in diameter, so you have to use pliers to remove them, and they are slightly too short, so they don't make contact without putting in an adapter like steel wool. As it is, it's way too much trouble for the results, and I wish I had my money back. Hopefully, the company will consider a re-design.

5Excellent product for arthritis sufferersSep 04, 2010
By Jersey Chuck
I bought this mister for a friend who suffers from arthritis so she can keep her terrariums at high humidity levels.

Now she doesn't "dread" having to painfully mist the old way.

Truly a great product for arthritis sufferers.

Greatest gadget ever made for gardeners who are continually fertilizing. Does a fine spray or squirts automatically. I love it.
