Before we got our first ferret I did a lot of research on different foods. Getting your ferret premium food has a very direct impact on both their lifespan and their quality of life. Since ferrets don't live that long this is especially important for them. ZuPreem gives them every thing they need and if you buy it in bulk it isn't even that expensive. We've got two tupperware type bins we bought at Walmart that we transfer the food into, otherwise it'll go stale at best or may gain extra protein of the buggy kind at worse. 30 pounds lasts our three carpet sharks about six months. I've bought from PetFoodDirect before and recommend you get on their mailing list because they have frequent sales. They've always shipped promptly and things arrived in good shape.

This diet is better than many others, don't get me wrong, but I believe it is best supplemented with other foods such as 8-1 ultimate crunchy in like a 3:1 ratio (1 being the zupreem), because this diet makes my ferret's poop really sticky and soft and harder to clean up.

The ferrets I have owned all like this food. The only issue is they tend to go for other foods alot, like they prefer cat food when it happens to be in reach.

5AMAZING DEALOct 30, 2011

We were having to run to the pet store once a week to keep our ferret food in stock. And at $14 a week, the price VERY quickly adds up.

The fact is, this food is very nutritious and one of the best brands out there for ferrets. But the price in-store is killer!

With this bag, we keep our two ferrets fed for about 6 months. So, $70 (including shipping and handling) for 6 months ends up at only $11 a month! Versus about $56 a month with pet store prices.

It's a no-brainer.
